This website is owned and managed by the Visit Hope Street Community Interest Company (CIC), which was established in 2009 and comprises some of the key businesses and organisations in and around Hope Street.  They all have an interest in welcoming visitors to the area and wider city of Liverpool. The mission of the group is to promote Hope Street as a great visitor destination in Liverpool.

The directors of the CIC represent the following organisations:

The group is an eclectic mix of businesses, cathedrals, cultural and educational institutions, united in their passion for Hope Street and working together to develop its future.

Since 2009 Visit Hope Street has organised a number of successful joint projects including photographic Competitions and the ‘Christmas on Hope Street ‘joint event programme in 2010 & 2011.

In 2014 the CIC set out a five year vision for the area with clear and ambitious targets for:

  • Major events
  • Regular animation
  • Marketing
  • Improving Visitor Welcome

Since 2015 the CIC has set about delivering this vision and:

  • Recruited more members including the National Trust and the Art School Restaurant
  • Organised the Pentecost Pageant in May 2016
  • Piloted the Graduation celebrations in 2016 and enhanced them in 2017
  • Appointed an event management partner
  • Developed a strategic partnership with KQ Liverpool
  • Briefed local councillors and senior council officers on the importance of Hope St to the city as a whole
  • Submitted a number of funding bids in support of its ambitions
  • Produced the impact assessment ‘The Impact of Hope’ (please download the document from this website)
